I was born in Emerson Manitoba and spent my early years there, and feel fortunate to have known the vitality of small town life as it was in that time and place. We next moved to Greeenland Road and lived amidst a Holdeman commnunity, an experience that I am very grateful for. Our final move was to  Ste. Anne, also a vibrant small town at the time, and a fertile environment for developing my interest in music and art. I also attended Steinbach Regional Secondary School, where they offered Commercial Art and Theatre programs.

While later living Winnipeg I worked at Guitarland for a while, and went on to have many varied and memorable musical experiences, including playing with Southern Stage and the Deluxe Chance Band before venturing into Ska and Punk.

Shortly after moving to Vancouver in the mid 80s I enrolled in the Jazz Studies Degree program at Capilano University College.
After my undergrad I went to library school at UBC and went on to have a very fulfilling career with the Vancouver Public Library.

I later had the tremendous fortune to meet and play with luthier Shelley Park. Through her connections we got to play at Djangofest Northwest in 2003, where I met and made many friends who live in the Northwest and beyond.

I'm presently studying in the Master of Divinity programat Huron College.
I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity and privilege of pursuing this calling, and for the support of so many people at  my former church  St. Paul's Anglican Church  and at  St. John's Shaughnessy  where I now attend.

If you're in Vancouver and are looking for a very warm and welcoming place to worship and grow,  I invite you to drop by St. Paul's or St. John's where you will always be welcome, wherever you are on your journey of faith.
